What you need to know before VBS!
Class Dress up! 🤠
This year your Child can earn gold nuggets (to use at the trading post on the last day) by dressing up! Costumes will MAKE the atmosphere of VBS feel so extra, don't miss out! Below is list of the classes so you'll know how to dress up and earn those gold nuggets! Google ideas for dress up...I'll be fun!
- Toddler: Ranchers
- Pre-School: Carpenters
- Kindergarten: General Store *Merchants
- 1st Grade: Doctors
- 2nd Grade: Blacksmiths
- 3rd Grade: Sherriffs
- 4th Grade: Trappers
- 5th Grade: Outlaws *No guns/weapons please
- 6th Grade: Miners
Sign in / Sign Out ✍🏼
- Monday: Registration begins at 8:30am *Our program begins promptly at 9am!
- Tuesday - Friday: Registration begins at 8:45am *Please do not drop off early
- Parents/Guardians must physically sign in and out your children each day.
- Pick up will be from your students classroom at 12:15pm.
- If you would like to see your kiddos class for sign out you may locate it at drop off in the morning!
Gold Nugget earning 💰
Your child can earn gold nuggets throughout the week at VBS! There will be a Trading Post with frontier items to buy with their nuggets on Friday after VBS for our family lunch! (12:15-3pm)
- Attendance, Bible, Daily Memory Verse, Adventure Guide, Dressing Up = 1 Nugget Each!
- Theme Verse = 5 Nuggets
- Extra Credit Verses = 1 Nugget Each!
- Completed Adventure Guide = 5 Nuggets
Snacks 🍇
Snacks are always a fun element at VBS and we are aware of the many food restrictions facing families. There will be an allergen free snack available each day as a substitute for those who need it. However, if you are more comfortable sending your child WITH a snack each day, we encourage you do to so!
Missions focus: Coin Drive 🪙
Each year we select a missionary to support with a fun competition between the boys and girls. This element helps us share real life stories with the kiddos from others spreading the gospel beyond our boarders. This year we are learning about God's work in Mexico from some of our long term missionaries, Ken and Betty Tibberts. The students will meet them this week via personalized video messages and learn about their daily work to share the gospel and build the church!
Feel free to give your kids house chores to earn change to bring in each day of VBS. The contest will be by weight between the boys and the girls, so coin is best!
