Small Group Plan
  1. Watch the video with your small group
  2. Answer the discussion questions with your group:
    • We do not really think about being "clean or unclean" before God when we eat certain foods or touch gross things. In fact the only time we tend to isolate ourselves or take extra precaution when living in community with our friends and family is when we are ill. It's cultural courtesy and good hygiene to keep our sick germs to ourselves so they don't spread. When you get sick...it alters your normal behavior  for a short time. How does this concept relate to the purity laws/dietary laws of the sacrificial system? Where those considered unclean allowed back into community with their people? Why not? What do you think that must have been like?
    • If you had to pay attention to the foods ate, the places you went, and the illnesses of your body because it effected your "set-apartness" as God's chosen people, how would that change the way you lived? How would that interrupt the daily flow of you life right now?
