Hello, my name is Mica Thompson!
I have an opportunity this summer to travel with my church to a missionary exposure camp called Wayumi (wī yo͞o mē). The Wayumi Expedition and is a ministry of Ethnos 360 whose goal is to see a thriving church born for every people group now unreached with the Word of God. Did you know that more than 6000 of the world's people groups are still unreached? This one week expedition camp will teach me about what is involved in reaching these isolated people groups with the Gospel. Wayumi is located in Jersey Shore Pennsylvania and is a combination of classroom learning and activities simulating the hands on experiences of missionaries working tirelessly to reach these remote groups. We also get the added bonus of visiting the Answers in Genesis Ark Encounter and Creation Museum before Wayumi!

I am praying and working hard with my team to raise the funds needed to make this trip a reality by July 10th! Would you please consider partnering with me in prayer and financial support? This opportunity comes with a price tag of $1500 for each team member. My confidence is in the Lord's provision as we work toward this goal! You can learn more about our trip by clicking here: Wayumi 2025

ABout me

Hi! I am 15 years old and I am a freshman in High School. I have been a part of Classical Conversations since I was 4 years old. I have been home-schooled my whole life. I have an older brother, and two younger sisters. I have lived in Palo Cedro for 6 years, but I was born in Santa Cruz, California. We live on two acres where we raise goats, sheep, and chickens. We also have two dogs and two barn cats.
I really enjoy: I enjoy running for HOPE. I am on their Cross Country and Track and Field team. I also love sewing. I have made aprons for friends and family and have sold them at the Palo Cedro Feed Store. I have recently been learning how to play the violin, which has been a lot of fun. I am currently learning Spanish, and I am in my third year of learning Latin in school. My favorite subject is writing.

One interesting fact about me is: An interesting fact or something that you might not have known about me is that I have been in 4-H for 4 years and I have shown dairy goats and raised a market pig to show and sell at the Shasta District Fair. Currently, I am the Secretary at our 4-H club.

What I am looking forward to most about Wayumi: I am looking forward to Wayumi for the experience and am excited to learn about tribal missions and hear from other missionaries. I am also looking forward to the fellowship and to deepen my walk with the Lord.

Here's how you can pray for me

- Opportunities to love and encourage others.
- Health and safety for me and the others going on this trip.
- Growth in our understanding and relationship with the Lord.
- Depth in my relationship with Jesus and that God will give me his eyes for other people and their need for the gospel.
