Unnecessary Hopelessness: Finding Our Hope in the Word, Not in the World

Luke’s description of the events of Resurrection Sunday reveal an emphasis and truth that the other gospel writers do not. Luke’s discussion of the resurrection surrounds the fact that the Scriptures clearly foretold of the resurrection and how this fact should have been understood and rested upon by all of His disciples. In so doing, Luke points his readers to the importance of knowing, understanding, and resting in Scripture as a means of great hope in even the most desperate of circumstances.
