Trip Overview
Irvine Community Church was where the Nordquist family attended church for many years while they lived in Orange County. The church was established in the early 1900’s and continues to serve the community which has grown up around it. Pastor Yurie and his family have been serving the community for many years and would love to host a VBS for the community this year. After prayer and consideration they have invited us to help with their first VBS in many years. Our team will assist in their VBS program this summer and help create a template they can replicate for future programs!
Applying for the trip
The team is created from High school students and adult leaders. Those interested in attending must fill out an application and be approved by Pastor Andrew. Juniors and seniors (16-18yrs) in high school whose families attend Grace Baptist Church are given priority, followed by sophomores and freshmen (14-15yrs). Please do not pay any fees until you receive confirmation from Pastor Andrew.
Cost and Fundraising
Trip cost per student: $250
Group Fundraising:
- This covers basic expenses like: Food, fuel, lodging etc…
- Students are encouraged to fundraise and work for their personal trip fee.
- Payment is due by June 15th.
Group Fundraising:
- Group funds go to extra curricular things we might do while in Irvine and unexpected expenses.
- Group funds do not count toward the individual student fee.
- We will only be scheduling 3 fundraisers total before the trip and all those attending the trip are encouraged to attend!

- We'll be carpooling down to Irvine on Saturday the 11th in several vehicles.
- Parents who would like to volunteer to transport or help with VBS week, please reach out to Pastor Andrew to express interest.

- Option 2: Stay with several host families in the church.
